At BLN.athletics, the WoD is different every day of the week. Lessons always start with a general warm-up followed by a movement-related warm-up. After the warm-up, the trainer guides you through a technique or strength block, the purpose of which is to ensure that all movements are performed correctly and to facilitate general strength or technique development. The workout is completed with a workout that varies greatly in terms of movements, intensity and time. Barbell experience is essential.

With our unique strength training, you will quickly feel fitter, stronger and more athletic. In this course, the whole body is trained with a variety of exercises. The aim is to work on your strength through complex movements followed by metabolic conditioning (Metcon). The PowerHouse boosts your metabolism, increases strength and helps you lose weight.

The basis of SweatHouse is based on the methodology of high-intensity interval training, one of the world's fastest growing fitness and cardio trends. We expand HIIT through a fusion of ski-erg, rowing, cycling and running, combined with functional strength exercises. We use kettlebells, dumbells, plyo boxes and medballs for this purpose. You will do two functional strength exercises before going on the ergometers. No further experience is required — just join in and get your strength up and running.

Our Mobility Class is designed for active recreation and uses equipment such as a foam roller and rubber balls. The course aims to reduce muscle tension and loosen connective tissue through a series of slow stretches and movements. It is used to prepare for the upcoming training phase and helps prevent injuries due to immobility. You will complete a series of active stretches and breathing exercises so that you feel more relaxed and better for the coming week of training.

Why did you choose BLN?

I was looking for a gym that offered both CrossFit and Bodyweight classes so I could build up my strength. After seeing the location and getting to know the people, I knew it was a good fit.


What is your favorite course?

Powerhouse — this class builds the strength that makes it easier for me to get started from bodyweight exercises to crossfit movements.


What is your favorite detail in the gym?

Everything is so well thought through. Starting with the industrial style training area, to the wooden panels at the walls and even the colourful bathrooms. But the cherry on top is the hearty atmosphere.


Body weight or dumbbells?

Both - I particularly like the variety in our courses. But if I had to choose, I'd opt for barbell training followed by a few burpees:)


What would you say to someone who is thinking about signing up for BLN.athletics and what advice would you give them?

Don't wait - we have a family atmosphere, one of the nicest studios in Berlin and a variety of different courses.

What is your favorite detail in the gym?

Love that it's clean and beautiful. The showers, the floor and the equipment are fantastic and there are always hydration tablets because sweat “is real” and hydration “is key.” In addition to the location and the equipment, I LOVE the community, the people at the bar are always nice and you feel very welcome (like in a small family). And the coffee is the best.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about signing up for BLN.athletics and what advice would you give them?

If you've never done CrossFit before, this is the right place for you. Everyone greets you so warmly and you don't have to be afraid to try new things. You don't have to be a professional here, this is about exercise and fun.

I don't like doing sports alone and need a team around me. I meet great people at every training session. We're a big family and we push each other.

In a week, I like to combine Power House, i.e. more weight training with a HIIT class for my endurance.

Every time I go to a BLN.Athletics class, I'm looking forward to working out with great people

Why did you choose BLN?

I had a great trial lesson with Lars, who encouraged me to exercise. I immediately met great people and fell in love with the workouts.


What is your favorite course?

Athletic flow. This helps me a lot with mobility, flexibility and recovery. It's a fundamental part of my routine and I don't think I've had any injuries as a result so far.


What would you say to someone who is thinking about signing up for BLN.athletics and what advice would you give them?

I've never enjoyed going to a crowded gym after work to wait in line for a workout bench. Every time I go to a BLN.ATHLETICS class, I look forward to working out with great people without worrying about what exercises I should do, whether the equipment is not available or what my technique is. There is always a professional trainer who does this for me and other members with whom I do the WoD. My advice to everyone who is starting training: Go to Team WOD, then you have the chance for a great superhero moment.


What have you always wanted to tell us?

If you want to get fit and stay fit, that is only possible with a lot of effort and commitment. And if you're like me, then you're not exactly the hardest working person. After years of trying and making New Year's resolutions, I can finally enjoy physical activity. Thanks for creating such a lovely place and bringing so many amazing people together to make it easy and fun! :)
